It’s Giving Tuesday – Help Cypress Raise $20k

Updated: Dec 2, 2024

Help us get Mental Health First Aid certification, suicide prevention training and grief support to people who need it!

Before Cypress Resilience Project launched in 2020, it was a lunchtime conversation about grief. Brooke and I were sitting in our shared office, talking about the immense grief impacting our communities.  We were determined to find a way to help. So we became certified grief recovery specialists, then MHFA instructors, then trauma informed specialists. And when the pandemic hit, our workshops and certifications felt like one powerful thing we could do to help ease the pain of the people around us.

Now, as 2024 comes to an end, we know that our communities are still divided and hurting. Suicide is the leading cause of death for 14-15 year olds. 50.2% of non-profits are experiencing workforce shortages because of toxic stress and burnout. Burned out employees in all kinds of organizations cost the U.S. economy $190 Billion every year. Our friends, neighbors, and colleagues are stressed and overwhelmed by events around the world and at home.

At Cypress, we believe that everyone deserves to feel better. We are committed to giving folks practical skills and tools that they can use immediately to support themselves and the people around them. Our hope is that in doing this work, we can help our communities sustain, heal, and grow through difficult times.

Last month, we released our 2024 Annual Report highlighting our achievements in the past year. When I was putting the numbers on the pages, I felt pretty darn proud of the work we have done.

But there is still more to do! So we’re writing with a request: invest in Cypress before the year is over.

We need your help to ensure we can continue.

Please join us by donating today. We are grateful for your support.
